We want to support these artists, and all the budding artists wherever they may be, and give them an opportunity to have their work known beyond their own world. We want everyone to be richer for having known and encountered the creativity of the cultures that surround us.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_custom_heading text=”Our Approach” font_container=”tag:h3|font_size:32|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text font_size=”18″ text_color=”#000000″ line_height=”30″]Our cards are mostly blank on the inside and are intended for any occasion.
Don’t expect jokes, puns or play on words on the front. We want the art to convey the emotions that inspire you to send a card. Hopefully, the thought and care you take to pick the right card, resonates with the person who gets it.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_custom_heading text=”Our Philosophy” font_container=”tag:h3|font_size:32|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text font_size=”18″ text_color=”#000000″ line_height=”30″]We like to build on-going relationships with artists, and make them partners in the venture: Though we do buy art, our preference is to license the work, thereby providing an on-going source of income to the artists as their designs continue to be sold. It also makes it easier for us to sign up more artists. If we buy the art, we still like to maintain a connection to the artist, so that we can buy more later!
We pay fairly and to suit the needs of the artist: some artists prefer an upfront payment, some prefer a licensing agreement. Others prefer a combination, while still others like to be given physical cards that they can sell at their own stalls. We’re flexible and always try to put together the best, mutually beneficial agreement with the artist.
We care about the environment: We use 100% post consumed, recycled paper. It’s all processed chlorine free, it’s uncoated, and is not bleached for a fake, frightening whiteness. The envelopes are also fully recycled and the bags we use at our market stalls are the same. The end product does not compromise on quality, but it doesn’t cost the earth either. .
We source locally: Where possible our first choice is to source things locally. We like the idea of supporting local businesses and even if it costs us a little more at times, it definitely pays off to know that we’re supporting our community. Our neighbours.
Finally, we support Australian businesses: If not immediately local, we try to get things done in Australia.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
